Build quality: The shape is reminiscent of the old MS Intellimouse Explorers, just a bit taller. The mouse feels solid in my hands and nothing feels cheap or plastic or fake. The weight difference is noticeable, although I'm coming from one of the lightest mice out there in the Finalmouse 2016 so maybe that's part of it.
Drivers issues: Sadly I haven't had occassion to get as much out of this mouse as I'd like. I've tried on two separate PCs now and on neither does the ROG Software actually detect the thing. I've tried troubleshooting it to an extent and haven't had any luck.
I bought this thing because of the 2000hz polling rate. Kephrii, a popular Overwatch streamer, demonstrated the difference between 1 and 2000hz to my satisfaction that there WAS a difference. However, I've sadly never been able to use it.
I'm returning it as I'm the end of my patience. I've read just now the lack of compatibility may be to do with Razer Synapse. Which is really lame if that's the case. Given that Steelseries, Corsair and Logitech's drivers all work together no issue.

The "Sniper" button ruins the mouse for me personally. It needed to be slightly more forward in position and perhaps have a more tactile click.
The overall the Gladius 2 has a premium feel. Mouse 1 and Mouse 2 are decent and satisfying, along with the scroll wheel. Great shape and size. Great packaging along with some well thought-out extras. (Second cable, mouse carrier, replacement switches - very cool)
Note: The mouse does hold a little heat when you have all the RGBs options sets to static (on).
Improvements to be made: Gladius 3?
Move the Sniper button forwards.
Try to lose some weight.
Perhaps make the right side (Mouse 2 side) more indented to encourage extra grip with ring finger and little finger.
If ROG can handle it, lose the ROG icon on the palm of the mouse.
Overall I rate the Gladius 2 a 7 out of 10.
Sniper button for my hands is inconvenient, too inconvenient.
